Written by Wes Craven and his son Jonathan, the film is the sequel to Alexandre Aja’s remake of The Hills Have Eyes, rather than the remake of Craven’s sequel to the original film. Yes, it’s confusing. Directed by Martin Weisz, the film went on to make over $20 million at the box office.
