American Gangster

Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe star as criminal and cop in this Ridley Scott directed movie. Washington plays drug kingpin Frank Lucas who changes the drug scene with his Blue Magic and Crowe plays Richie Roberts, the man who tries to bring him down. American Gangster comes out in both a 2 and 3 disc set, as well as in HD-DVD.

Michael Clayton

George Clooney is Michael Clayton, a lawyer who fixes everything that needs fixing for his law firm’s largest clients. Directed by Tony Gilroy, the movie is up for Best Picture at the 2008 Oscars and Clooney is up for Best Actor. The movie comes to DVD on Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.

Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Walhberg star as brothers who are on other sides of the law. Phoenix’s character changes his name as to distance himself from his family of cops. But when a gangster operates inside of his night club, he can no longer keep the distance. Robert Duvall also stars as their father and deputy chief of police. This James Gray picture is also being released on Blu Ray.
