Dane Cook (can someone become overexposed by being in baseball commercials?) stars as Charlie (Chuck), a bachelor who has bad luck with the opposite sex stemming from a childhood game. He meets Cam, played by Jessica Alba, and tries to change his bad luck before he loses her too. Directed by Mark Helfrich, the movie scored $35 in US box office.

Mr. Woodcock

Billy Bob Thornton and Seann William Scott go toe to toe in this Craig Gillespie directed comedy. Thornton is Woodcock, a former gym teacher of Scott’s John Farley who is about to marry his mother.

The Last Mimzy

Starring Joely Richardson and Timothy Hutton as parents of children who become geniuses, this science fiction film is based on the short story by Lewis Padgett called Mimsy Were the Borogoves. The film centers around the children and their relationship to a toy “rabbit” named Mimzy and how Mimzy impacts the future.

The Astronaut Farmer

Billy Bob Thornton plays a man who had dreams of being an astronaut. After being well on his way, he had to opt out of the NASA’s training program to care for his family’s farm. He spends the next decade to make his dreams come true with his family’s support. Directed by Michael Polish, the film debuted in theaters in late February of this year.
